Ok I know they are called facsimile which is a copy of the original comic book, but to myself I’ve always called them smiley face coimc books which I think is because you get a smile on your face to have a copy of the comicbook.

Topics: the immune system, civil engineering infrastructure (bridges, water system, electrical grid, etc), artificial intelligence, history of the universe and life on earth. I’d also love to see crossovers into math, ideally something complementary to the standard curriculum.

I think there was also a Giant-Size Thor that tied into the Immortal Thor storyline (if I’m not mistaken, it’s mentioned during the team-up with Hercules, since the two meet first in that special).

I can’t wait to see the Superman vs Captain Atom. I hope it doesn’t fall below expectations because, DC has a knack for (somehow) making Superman hold back while others smack him around which I often see as bad writing.

Library Edition or Library Binding:
The graphic novel is usually printed on sturdier paper. A hard front and back cover with a flat spine have a sheet of colored artwork glued on. Then the pages are attached to the spine.
Library Binding infers that the item will suffer more wear and tear and the firmer construction is meant to weather such usage.
Library Binding may cost more but the library will get more use out of it than a trade or mass market paperback.

I’m trying to think of the term for the collection of set elements of a particular comic. For example, Calvin and Hobbes is a 6-year-old boy with a huge imagination and a stuffed tiger. The parents don’t let him get away with much. The strip doesn’t stray from this “formula,” for lack of a better term. What is the term supposed to be?

No! No, no, no, no, NO!

Do NOT “boot up a digital comics app.”

That’s still a screen. Your brain will remain in screen mode. And it’s too easy to skip back to doomscrolling or link surfing.

Read comics on paper. The tactile experience – feeling the paper, smelling the ink, turning the pages, holding the book – helps pull your brain out of online mode, as well as reducing the ease of getting distracted.

Just my worthless opinion, o’ course!

So, this article is a little off. Some of the animanga listed are in the wrong categories.

Horimiya is Shonen
Yuru Camp is Seinen
Gakkougurashi! is Seinen
Sweetness and Lightning is Seinen.
Nana is Shojo.
And Orange is specifically both Shojo AND Seinen.

Do not be fooled by a series’ content. You need to look at which magazines are printing them. Each magazine has specific demographics they cater to regardless of content.

I have been reading Pokemon Adventure online on-off since 2010 & always re-read them never getting bored to start again, but sites kept getting shutdown, then I decided to get the physical manga & this was & still IS my to-go guide.

When I first wanted to start collecting the manga this was the only guide i needed as it was throughly. The mini series confused me so I used to come here to re-check which series had them & how many vol. were planned/out.

Currently I nearly have the whole collection, x13 Main Series + Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Adventure! & Pokémon Horizon: Sun & Moon (total 85 manga), only missing some of Sword & Shield, and I’m getting them now =D
