With Elektra appearing in the second season of Netflix’s Daredevil series I thought it would fitting to highlight some of the stories featuring Elektra you should read if you’re interested in the character.

Sometimes, I just don’t have time to do a full review of recent comics on the site. But with so many great new comics coming out every week I wanted to at least give out some kind of recommendation. Thus, the mini-review was born. Check out mini reviews for an awesome batch of comics, as well as an oddball one, inside!

Through big action, character moments, humour and even politics, Brian Michael Bendis and an array of wonderful artists give the series a solid start. Working as a great introduction to the team and its members, this release is a great place to start for those interested in this galactic team.

This week sees the launch of Iron Fist: The Living Weapon, written and drawn by Kaare Andews, which takes Danny Rand on a journey of bloodshed and revenge. While you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover it doesn’t mean that you can’t admire it. Each month I find what I believe are the best comic book covers. As the title suggest, it is for the month of April, 2013.
