Each month I like to showcase a batch of new comics that you should be reading. I try and make it varied, mixing up creative ideas, genres and different storytelling to have a list that will appeal to everyone. This month we have an Immaterial Girl, bombshells, road trip buddies, gangsters, devil worshipping rock groups, reincarnated assassins and much more.
In the final week of May, DC Comics have released the last batch of original sneak peek stories aimed at being new reader friendly. This week features stories for Batgirl, Black Canary, Constantine: The Hellblazer, Cyborg, Earth 2: Society, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Justice League United, Sinestro, Superman/Wonder Woman and We Are Robin.
DC Comics is releasing 8-page original stories featuring the new series and jumping on points in June. This will give people a taste of what’s to come and help them decide if these comics appeal to them. This week features stories for Detective Comics, Doomed, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Red Hood/Arsenal, Midnighter, Section Eight, The Omega Men, Prez and Starfire.
In June DC Comics will launch 24 new series as well as start new stories with their continuing series. If you are new to comics of DC this is a prefect time to jump on. This will be a guide to everything you need to know about each of the series and will be updated regularly when more information on these new comics becomes available.
Every month I like to showcase the most interesting new comic releases of the month, focusing on stories that those new to comics can dive into. For February I have highlighted 15 releases which are all a bit different from each other. Many different genres are represented including science fiction, crime, superhero, horror, sword and sorcery, humour and fantasy.
