Comic book events can sometimes be confusing, especially when the event decided to opt for a different style of storytelling. That’s why I’ve created the X-Men: Apocalypse Wars Reading Guide. Starting in October Marvel will be launching ~60 new series under the banner of All-New, All-Different Marvel. In this extensive guide I go through each comic series and tell you everything you need to know from premise of each series, creative teams and more.

In the final week of May, DC Comics have released the last batch of original sneak peek stories aimed at being new reader friendly. This week features stories for Batgirl, Black Canary, Constantine: The Hellblazer, Cyborg, Earth 2: Society, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Justice League United, Sinestro, Superman/Wonder Woman and We Are Robin.

In a second week in a row, DC Comics have released original sneak peek stories aimed at being new reader friendly. This week features stories for Action Comics, Batmite, Aquaman, Bizarro, Deathstroke, Dr Fate, Gotham by Midnight, Green Lantern: Lost Army, Justice League 3001 and Lobo.

Dark Horse Comics are no stranger to horror and supernatural comics, being one of best publishers in the genre. This week sees them release Harrow County, a new comic series which mixes the horror they are known for with southern gothic fairy tale elements. Take peek to find an eerie preview inside.

Every month I like to spotlight some of the new graphic novels you should read for that month. I try to keep it quite varied with different styles of art, storytelling, publisher and genre. March offers up a mixture of missing treehouses, giant monsters, the lampooning of ancient war texts, Japanese Buffy and a new sheriff in town.

In June DC Comics will launch 24 new series as well as start new stories with their continuing series. If you are new to comics of DC this is a prefect time to jump on. This will be a guide to everything you need to know about each of the series and will be updated regularly when more information on these new comics becomes available.

This is a list 13 new comic books that you should be reading this December. With a great mix of storytelling, publishers and genres there is definitely something here for everyone.
