Reading Recommendations

Each month I like to showcase a batch of new comics that you should be reading. This month there’s Amazonian origins, barbarian refreshes, a lesbian werewolf, Jedi, superhero bromance and much more.

After a long break the monthly graphic novel should read is list is back! This month’s list features outdated business practices, forgotten realms, telepathic Internet, celebrity chefs, boring girlfriends and more.

Throughout December I asked the How to Love Comics Community to vote for the comics and graphic novels that they loved in 2015. Many of you voted and as a result there were more than 120 different comics voted for. Continue reading to find what made the top 10.

With the upcoming Suicide Squad movie I’ve received a lot of questions as to where is the best place to start with these villainous misfits. Due to a number of reasons, see inside, I recommend the New 52 era and New Suicide Squad as great places to start reading and have created a reading order guide to make reading really easy.

Marvel has a MASSIVE library of thousands of characters, something that can be incredibly daunting for those new to comics. Luckily, the publisher has made our lives a little easier through Marvel 101, a series of handy videos that explain characters origins, who they are and what makes them great in the space of a minute.

To take out the confusion out Justice League’s current epic, The Darkseid War, I have created a reading order checklist which contains not only the reading order but other details including creator credits and release dates.
