To celebrate the second anniversary of the New 52 DC Comics has let the villains take over for the month of September. This is part one of an extensive guide to Villains Month that will not only showcase the titles but also if you are unaware of the villain as to who they are. *UPDATED*

This week sees the print release of Adventures of Superman #1, a digital-first series of short Superman stories set out of continuity. There is a general consensus from the non-comic reading community that Aquaman is “uncool”, that he is “lame”. I believe that the Super Friends ruined his image and since then that interpretation has been the one that has stuck in people’s minds.
