It’s father versus son! Venom War is 2024’s big symbiote-themed comic book event, which takes everything that has been building up in the pages of Venom and dials it up to 11. Eddie Brock and his don Dylan are recent hosts of the Venom symbiote and are now locked in conflict to see who the rightful host is.
It’s a conflict that will touch several characters, both symbiotic and human. So how do you make sure you don’t miss out on any of the action? This Venom War reading order checklist gives you all the details needed to read this huge story, including tie-ins, creative teams, release dates, background reading, and more.

Do I need to read all of the tie-ins?
No. You do not have to read all the tie-ins if you don’t want to. This event is structured in a way where the Venom War miniseries tells the core story. All of the tie-ins are supplemental and can be read if you want to expand your reading experience.
I recommend reading the tie-ins that appeal to you, whether based on story premise, creators, or characters featured.

All-New Venom #1
Written by Al Ewing. Art by Carlos Gómez.
Venom has an all-new host, which brings with it a series with all-new direction. The series moves away from the big cosmic ideas to something more grounded, with character-based stories.
Marvel is keeping the who this host is a mystery at the moment but it won’t be Eddie Brock.
Eddie Brock: Carnage #1

Goes on sale 12th February.
Eddie Brock will be the new Carnage symbiote host. The series will see Brock feed Carnage’s hunger to kill by hunting don serial killers.
