Venom and Carnage have never seen eye-to-eye. In fact, it tends to be a vicious battle every time the symbiotes cross paths. The Symbiosis Necrosis crossover sees this ongoing feud take a personal turn, with Venom targeting Eddie Brock’s (the host of Venom) son Dylan. Will Dylan survive the experience?

So you don’t miss out on any of the action between mortal enemies, I have put together a Symbiosis Necrosis reading order. It lists all the comics involved, which order you need to read them, and other helpful details such as background reading and what to read next.

Enjoy the symbiotic battle!

Background reading

Are you looking to do some background reading before starting to read Symbiosis Necrosis? You can catch up by reading the following comics.

Venom (2021 series) #1-30
Written by Al Ewing, Ram V, and Torunn Grønbekk. Art by Bryan Hitch and others.

Want to know what has been happening in the current Venom comic? Check out the previous issues of this run. These interchange between different characters – Eddie Brock and his son Dylan. Al Ewing focuses on the Eddie Brock storyline, picking up on elements established in the Donny Cates run. Ram V and Torunn Grønbekk’s Venom comics focus on Dylan and other hosts.

Death of the Venomverse
Written by Cullen Bunn. Art by Gerardo Sandoval.

Death of Venomverse is the final part (at least for now) of the Venomverse Saga. I’ve recommended this story as it sets up the current Carnage series.

Carnage (2023 series) #1-4
Written by Torunn Grønbekk. Art by Pere Perez.

Check out these four issues if you want to know what Carnage has been up to.
