Before he wrote his epic run on ThorJason Aaron was known for writing Wolverine. Over many years, he crafted many Wolverine stories which ranged from light-hearted to the dark and even sent him to Hell and back.

It can be hard to piece together Aaron’s long Wolverine run. It spans over multiple series and miniseries over many years. So you don’t have to rack your brain trying to figure it all out, I have put together this handy reading order. It lists all the issues in a recommended reading order as well as the trade paperback collections.

Soon you’ll be able to dive right into this epic run of Wolverine adventures without any confusion. Happy reading!

Wolverine: Weapon X #1 cover by Ron Garney.

Wolverine (2003 series) #63

Wolverine (2003 series) #64

Wolverine: Manifest Destiny #3

Wolverine: Manifest Destiny #4

Note: Manifest Destiny was the branding for a period in X-Men comics where the mutants moved to San Francisco (See Uncanny X-Men #500-503 for more). It spawned a few miniseries including one for Wolverine.

Note: Wolverine: Weapon X (note to be confused with the Weapon X story arc by Barry Windsor Smith) that was a secondary Wolverine title to Wolverine: Origins. The series is set in the main Marvel Universe but is intentionally made not to rely on what’s going on in it.
