I've got 2 of the black Billy cases in my office for graphic novels and find the long shelf run leads to some bowing.

I'm going to try some of the Samlas for graphic novels for storing temporarily in a climate-controlled storage unit. If they work well they seem like a cost-effective replacement for the old cardboard short boxes. Be interesting to see how many can be stacked vertically.

I have some \"extra small\" cardboard boxes that are 13\" in length, not the standard small length of 15\". At the 13\" length I can just fix them in Kallax with the box length across the self. Each Kallax shelf then holds 2 of the 13\" boxes side by side, one in front, one in back. And this packs very densly. I really want to find more of these 13\" comic storage boxes.

This article is right on the money! Ive found affordable solutions there.
I currently have two 4x4 kallax shelves and I placed them back to back. They hold a variety of boxes including standard short comic storage boxes and ikea’s Fjalla and Tjella. That’s a total of 32 boxes is a very tidy way and small space. I find the Fjalla box sturdier and more resistant than Tjalla, that would struggle when fully filled. Each box can hold more than 100 comics, so they become very heavy.
I got label pockets from a stationery shop to identify the boxes.
For my graded, signed and sketch comics, I got one IKEA cabinet (Malsjö) that comes with glass doors and sides, so they are protected and exhibited (partially) along with some statues I own. They ensemble looks marvelous.
