Star Wars is one of the rare franchises that crosses over every generational barrier, with a massive fanbase of all ages. There are people who have been fans since 1977 and, thanks to the new movies, there are new fans created every day.
IDW Publishing has recognised that there are many young fans, and those young at heart, who are looking for their Star Wars fix. Subsequently, for the last few years, the publisher has put out many fun Star Wars comics suitable for all ages.
Find out everything you need to know about IDW’s all-ages Star Wars comics with this handy guide so that you or a young one in your life can enjoy the many adventures in a galaxy far, far away.
Where Can I Find IDW’s Star Wars Comics?
IDW’s Star Wars comics can be found at all good comics book stores, some book stores, your local library, eBay, online stores, and digitally on Comixology.

How Are These Comics Different To Marvel’s?
IDW is not the only comic book publisher releasing Star Wars comics. Marvel is also in on the action with their many canonical comics books. But what makes these different to the ones that IDW publish?
The main difference is the audience. IDW focuses on tales that are suitable for younger readers and those young at heart. Marvel’s comics are made with the intention of an older audience and tell different kinds of Star Wars stories as a result.
Where Do I Start?
You can start anywhere. The majority of these comics tell stand-alone stories so it’s not necessary to have read the previous issue or volume to understand what is going on.
