Throughout the year, Marvel has been exploring the unique eras of Star Wars history. We’ve already seen the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy. This leaves one last trilogy to go – the sequel trilogy.
Marvel will be visiting this era of Star Wars history through a batch of self-contained specials called the Age of Resistance. Each of these will focus on a character from this era to tell a self-contained story.
Why should you read Age of Resistance?
Unlike the other Star Wars trilogies, the sequel trilogy has not been explored all that much. There’s a lot of potential to expand on these characters beyond what we’ve seen in the movies.
Who are the creators involved?
Just like the Age of Republic and Age of Rebellion, Age of Resistance is has one primary writer and two artists. The primary writer will pen all of the character focuses specials and one artist will focus on the heroes, while the other on the villains.
Tom Taylor will be writing Age of Resistance. Taylor has had plenty of experience of writing Star Wars comics, penning Star Wars: Invasion, The Will of Darth Vader, and others. He’s also made a name for himself writing All-New Wolverine and the Injustice comics too.
Over on the light side, Ramon Rosanas will be the artist for all of the issues starring our heroes. These will be his first Star Wars comics, but he has an impressive portfolio at Marvel which includes Ant-Man, All-New Wolverine, The Mighty Captain Marvel, and more.
Leonard Kirk, on the other hand, has gone to the dark side. He will be taking care of the art duties for the villainous characters. He has previously drawn the Han Solo – Imperial Cadet miniseries, as well as Fantastic Four and Black Panther.
