The X-Men have some of the most iconic villains in comics. And whether you’re familiar with the comic book history or not, thanks to the classic animated series or the movies, there is a good chance you’d be able to name at least two or three classic villains. They’re that memorable and iconic!
Well, Marvel will be highlighting some of these iconic villains throughout October in a series called X-Men: Black. Each issue of this 5-part weekly series will highlight a different classic X-Men foe with a done-in-one story. As an added bonus, there will also be a bonus serialised story throughout the back of these one-shots that focuses on the X-Men’s deadliest enemy of all – Apocalypse!
Whether you’re a big fan of the X-Men or you are dipping your toe in for the first time, X-Men: Black will be the comics you should read if you think their villains are really cool.
So you don’t miss out on any of the issues, or read the Apocalypse story out of order, I have put together a quick reading order guide. In it is everything you need to know, from reading order, creative teams, release dates and more. Soon you’ll be able to explore the darker side of mutantkind without any confusion.
