The Infinity Stones have been objects of great desire in the Marvel Universe for decades but in recent years have been noticeably absent. That’s until now! The reemergence of the stones has created a free-for-all, with the stones being sought out by both heroes and villains of the cosmic persuasion. It’s a race that won’t end nicely for anyone.
This the very basic premise of Infinity Countdown, Marvel’s cosmic event which features the Guardians of the Galaxy, Adam Warlock, Captain Marvel and more. The more I read into Infinity Countdown, the more I believe it will lead to something even bigger for Marvel towards the tail-end of 2018. Watch this space to see if I’m correct!
Marvel doesn’t always make it easy to follow their comic book events. Luckily the Infinity Countdown Reading Order Checklist is here to help. Not only does it include the reading order, but other helpful tidbits such as background reading, release dates, and creator credits as well. You’ll be up to speed in no time!
Enjoy!

After Infinity Countdown
Remember how I said that Infinity Countdown was, well, counting down to something bigger. That something is Infinity Wars.
Infinity Wars is another cosmic crossover which takes the events of Infinity Countdown to their obvious progression.
Similar to this event, Infinity Wars has many tie-ins to go with it. Luckily I have a reading order for it too.
Will You Be Reading Infinity Countdown?
Will you be reading this cosmic event? Let me know in the comments below or via Facebook or Twitter.
Hi Trevor
Do you know if I need to read all of the the comics on the list, to understand it? Or can I just read some of them?
Hey Malthe, if you read Infinity Countdown Prime and then the main Infinity Countdown series you will get a full story. Read the tie-ins if you want a bit of side story or a fan of a specific character.
Thanks for sharing. I recently got back into collecting and found myself right in the middle of the story with Guardians #150. This list has enabled me to seek out the full background. Great work!
Thanks Michael! Glad I could help 😁
Does a book like Avengers: Shards of Infinity #1 tie into this as well?
Hey John, Avengers: Shards of Infinity doesn’t tie into Infinity Countdown. Although, if you’re interested in a story starring Cap, Falcon, Black Widow, Black Panther and the cosmic cube then it is worth checking out.
