If you’ve seen the X-Men movies you’ll no doubt be familiar with the Weapon X Program, the secretive organisation who experimented on Wolverine. In the comics, it was thought that this organisation was no more, but in the pages of Weapon X it appears they they’re back and they mean business with their latest project is Batch-H, a terrifying hybrid of Wolverine and the Hulk. Just think of the horror that would be set upon the world – the regenerative powers and claws of Wolverine and the rage and strength of the Hulk. The world would be a gone! It’s up to the cast of Weapon X – Old Man Logan, Sabretooth, Domino, Warpath, and Lady Deathstrike – as well as the current Hulk to stop this experiment from ravaging the world.
As crossovers can sometimes be confusing, I have put together the Weapons Of Mutant Destruction Reading Order Checklist to help make sense of everything. Not only does it have the reading order, but also background reading, creative teams and release dates too. No need to Hulk out just figuring out how to read this crossover anymore!
Happy Reading!

Thanks for the list! Just what I needed to start reading. Just one question: Is this crossover event set before or after the Secret Empire crossover event? I ask because I have been reading the X-men Blue and Gold titles recently and just started that event so I would like to know if there is any overlap at some point and if so, since which point.
Thanks again, these reading order guides are really helpful.
I just went to a comic book shop with my son and wound up buying the WMD series for me… 30 bucks lol… the guy in the shop seems to be right on point since he sold me all of these up to before July 19th! I was surfing the web to find out what order and if I got em all…and stumbled on to your list! Thank you!
I’m glad the guide could be helpful. I hope you dig WMD!
These reading order articles are so helpful. When these events crossover so much it helps to know where to start and what to read next.
I’m glad i can be of some help!
Hi.. it was mentioned in weapon x issue 2 that sabertooth was attacked by a kid cyborg. Where can i find it? Or has it ever been published or it was just mentioned? Just like lady deathstrike’s story was seen in xmen prime. Thanks in advance.
Another wallet drainer give it a rest Disney.
shouldn’t the hulk prelude (May 24) be read after weapon x #3 but before weapon X #4 cause weapon x #4 was released June 14th? Or is one of those weird Marvel things where the prelude is actually a flash back or a since their house is such a mess does the release date not matter kinda thing?
I lumped Weapon X #1-4 together to complete the arc, but you could read it either way.
Totally Awesome Hulk #19 really needs to be read before Weapon X #4 for it to make sense.
Thanks Ned, I’ve fixed that up.
