On the edge of space there sits a castle known as the Screaming Citadel. It’s an eerie place, but also one that could also hold the secrets to the Jedi. It’s also the title for the latest Star Wars comic book crossover, which will see Star Wars, with all the original characters you know and love, cross paths with Doctor Aphra. The result will be a gothic-horror adventure, full of danger and new villains.
In a similar fashion to Vader Down, Star Wars: The Screaming Citadel will be told in 5 parts, kicking off with a one-shot then alternating in Star Wars and Doctor Aphra. Along for the ride are Star Wars scribes Keiron Gillen and Jason Aaron as well as artists Marco Checchetto, Salvador Larrocca and Andrea Broccardo.

Background Reading
While you should be able to understand this story without any background reading. If you want to do some then I suggest Doctor Aphra #1-6. These issues create some set-up for The Screaming Citadel and they are a good introduction to the character.
If you know who the main Star Wars cast are then there’s nothing else you need to know.
