At the moment Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo are telling a hell of a Joker story in Batman. Titled Endgame, it has been described to be the Joker story to end all Joker stories. If you have been reading it you know how big it is. It has gotten to the point where it has spilled out into other Bat-family titles with a series of Endgame one-shots.
Gotham City has been overrun with mobs who have been infected by a toxin that turns them into Joker. A threat this size cannot be tackled by Batman alone so some of Gotham’s other heroes will have to do their part to keep the city safe.

Arkham Manor, Detective Comics, Batgirl and Gotham Academy have been brought into the fold with these special Endgame one-shots. Each telling a different perspective of the events going on in the city.
This is not the first time that other Bat-family titles have tied into the events of Batman, but these particular one-shots are different in that they don’t interrupt the ongoing stories of the titles. These are additional issues of each series which is dedicated to this storyline, which means you don’t need to have read any previous issues of the series to understand. Additionally you can pick and choose which one-shots you read as each is an independent story.
