JUMPING ON POINT: Adventures of Superman #1

By 0 Comments

This week sees the print release of Adventures of Superman #1, a digital-first series of short Superman stories set out of continuity. Made by top level creators, The Adventures of Superman is a great for anyone who wants to read a short self contained Superman story without having to worry about continuity.

This issue is comprised of 3 short stories. The first, by Jeff Parker (Hulk and Thunderbolts) and Chris Samnee (Daredevil and Thor: The Might Avenger), square off against a man with powerful telekinetic powers. Justin Jordan (Strange Tales of Luthor Strode) and Riley Rossmo (Green Wake) tell a story Superman and his battle with the backwards Bizzaro. Finally, Jeff Lemire (Sweet Tooth and Animal Man) writes and draws the Superman taking down a variety of villains, or is he really?

If you are pumped to see Man of Steel next month this is a great comic to jump into as each story is self contained and does not require any knowledge of continuity  making a very new reader friendly series.

You can pick up Adventures of Superman #1 at all good comic book stores from May 29th.
