With so many Kickstarter campaigns every month it is difficult to keep track of them all and sadly some fall beneath the cracks, unnoticed. With Kickstart Me I aim to shed light on some of these campaigns, creating awareness so that you don’t miss out on a quality product. To kick the column off is JOSHUA BLACK: Hierarchy of Christ, a tale about a 17 year old boy who inherits the throne of Heaven, from indie comics publisher Con Artist Entertainment.
So what am I funding?
The majority of the money raised will go towards paying the talented artists so they can produce art on time. The rest will of the $1,700 goal will go towards production costs for the issues (both digitally and print) and the eventual collection.
What is it about?
As mentioned before, JOSHUA BLACK: Hierarchy of Christ is a 17 year old boy who inherits the throne of Heaven and the burden that come from being, essentially, a deity. The forces of both good and evil attempt to pull him in their direction – which side will he take?
While Joshua Black is the main focus of the story there an array of characters that are also focused on. These characters, mostly from other dimensions, have their own unique stories to tell which will help create a fleshed out the comic’s universe.
What are the rewards?
By funding between $1-$10 will get you digital copies of the series with the amount of issues dependent on how much you pledge. Further on at $25 there are prints – while at $50 will get you the official t-shirt, which looks quite nice.
Although once you get into the hundreds of dollars that is when things get very interesting with pledgees able to guest-host the weekly Con Artist Entertainment podcast or even appear in the comic.
How is it going?
At the time of writing this JOSHUA BLACK: The Hierarchy of Christ has 17 days to go with $1,155 funded of its $1,700 goal.
