Dark Horse Presents has always showcased the greatest writers, artists and cartoonists along with up-and-coming creators through a wide variety of genres. After a few months away, the award winning anthology series returns with a new format which hopes to get these creators into the hands of more people.
While the previous volume was highly acclaimed, it was not a sales success. Although, this was not due to quality but more based on the price. At $7.99 an issue (due to being 80 pages long) it was enough to turn people of from purchasing it regularly. Although, with a new 48 page format this incarnation of Dark Horse Presents should be much more accessible. It will also be much cheaper, priced at $4.99.
In this debut issue, Dark Horse Comics introduces readers to 6 new stories. Some of them will be short, self-contained, stories while others will be spread over multiple issues. Although, the best thing about anthologies like this is that there is usually something for everyone. Dark Horse Presents show’s this with a variety of stories and styles, which should have something that appeals to everyone.
